Puppy Socials

Doggy Dogma - Ipswich Puppy Socials

We all know how important socialisation is to young dogs,  so in an effort to aid all Ipswich Puppies to become calm, happy healthy adult dogs we are now offering Puppy Socials.  We will be running two Socials Puppy Social for dogs under 4 months; and the Adolescent Social for dogs 4  to 12 months.

Every Sunday- Ipswich Show Grounds "Buzz Theater"

12pm for puppies under 4 months

1pm for puppies between 4 - 12 months,

Socials run for approximately 45mins.

Our trainers will facilitate your puppies play with other dogs.  This allows puppies to learn how to communicate and interact with other dogs (including bite inhibition), and we teach owners how to notice bullying behaviour in dogs, and how to help shy dogs overcome their confidence problems.

We want all dogs to learn to play with lots of different other dogs, just your other dog or your neighbours dog, your dog needs to be comfortable around a variety of dogs of all shapes and sizes.

These events are FREE but are limited to 12 dogs per social, per week - so bookings are essential.  Bookings are taken on a week by week basis, and are open to all puppies under 4 months, not just Doggy Dogma students, however you will need to arrive 20 mins early to your first Puppy Social to complete our Puppy Socials Orientation.

Adolescent Puppies must be attending, or completed Basic Obedience Lvl 1, or Private Training with Doggy Dogma in order to attend the Adolecent Social.

Puppies under 4 months must have had their appropriate vaccination to attend the puppy social (first at 6-8 weeks second at 12-14 weeks).  Puppies over 4 months must be fully vaccinated, we will need to sight your vaccination certificate to be able to permit your puppy entry into the Social, so please bring your vaccination certificate with you.  We can allow for puppies who aren't fully vaccinated because our flooring is sanitised for their protection.  We however, recommend that all puppies under 16 weeks be carried to the training area for their safety - if you need help with this due to the size of your dog, please advise us before hand.

All puppies over 6 months will also need to be de-sexed in order to participate in the socials.

Please read the Ground Rules before attending, failure to comply to the rules, may result in you and your puppy going home early, and we would prefer you and your puppy get to stay and have some fun.
