Training Philosophy

Our Dog Training Philosophy - ABCC

We feel that dog training should be a simple easy and everyday process, because it is not just about getting your dog to sit on cue or run an obedience course, but to ensure that your pet dog's behaviour allows you and your dog to live harmoniously and happily together.  We work with you to establish your individual boundaries in your relationship with your dog, we by working with dog owners through the ABCC of dog training.

Awareness – By looking at a dog’s environment and surroundings we can begin to piece together what they are reacting to, and what management techniques we can put in place while training to help the dog relax.

Body Language – A dog’s body language is a look into their emotional state – once we understand how a dog is feeling, we are able to tailor training to help the dog change their feelings towards stressful/exciting events.

Communication –Is dog training.  We are able to begin telling the dog what we want them to do and what the appropriate responses are in their day to day experiences.

Connection – Is about your relationship, and how you feel towards your dog.  Many dog problems end with animosity from the owner towards their dog.  These feelings needs to be repaired to the original bond of respect, trust and love, in order to ensure that training is able to continue with the dog on a long term basis.

These four simple processes can change any behaviour and improve your bond with your with your dog.
